Minnesota Timberwolves small forward Andrew Wiggins finally showed off his nuclear athleticism Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets at Target Center.
So far this season, Andrew Wiggins has been a disappointment. The former No. 1 overall pick entered Wednesday averaging 15.1 points per game while shooting 37.7 percent from the field and 36.3 percent from beyond the arc.
However, the 23-year-old is coming off a strong game against the Houston Rockets, and the former Kansas Jayhawk showed some passion on Wednesday with a monster putback dunk with one-hand in heavy traffic. The crowd in Minnesota went crazy, as did the Timberwolves' bench.

This is what Timberwolves fans want to see from Andrew Wiggins every night. Wiggins can jump out of the gym and get to the rim whenever he wants. Instead of settling for long jump shots which he often does, Wiggins should use his speed and jumping ability to get to the basket and put pressure on opposing defenses as much as possible.
Now that Jimmy Butler is gone, Wiggins is the No. 2 offensive option in Minnesota, behind All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns. Wiggins need to take advantage of this opportunity and start earning that max money he's getting from the franchise.
Minnesota is playing well since the Butler trade. Time for Andrew Wiggins to establish himself as an alpha. This dunk is a good start.
