Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns knew that Joel Embiid was playing in his first game back on Saturday following a lengthy spell on the sidelines, so KAT decided to welcome back the Philadelphia 76ers star with a massive poster jam.
Embiid was a bit late on his contest on Towns and the Timberwolves star absolutely punished him for his transgression (h/t Def Pen Hoops on Twitter):

Embiid, who has been out of action for two weeks prior to Saturday due to a left knee bone bruise, appears to have been catching his breath during the inbound play. Towns received the ball at the top of the key and with Embiid getting caught in a screen, the Timberwolves big man made a quick move to the rim. Embiid was caught out from the get-go, but he still managed to contest Towns' dunk — something that did not exactly go in Embiid's favor.
Saturday's tilt between the Timberwolves and the Sixers featured an individual matchup between two of the top big men in the NBA today. We'll cut Joel some slack since this was his first time back after a 10-game absence, but nonetheless, it was clear who came out on top in this particular sequence.
