There have been many critics that deplore the fan voting segment of the NBA All-Star game, but none have been more vocal than NBA Hall-of-Famer Charles Barkley. In fact, Barkley took to the NBA on TNT show to express his dissatisfaction with how the fans are ruining the voting portion of the All-Star game.

Although Charles Barkley is known for his ridiculous takes on basketball, he may have a valid point about the fans voting. Typically, there are always All-Star snubs that never get the votes they need because of the awkward discrepancy of the fan-voting results. Notable All-Star snub Damian Lillard is proof that the fan voting is crooked, especially since he received fewer fan votes than Lonzo Ball who is is a good player but clearly not the player Lillard is. Lillard even described his frustration of being snubbed to Chris Haynes of ESPN.

“I've gotten frustrated just for the fact that it feels like I always got to be the fall guy and every other guy has been deserving,” Lillard tells ESPN. “In the past, the thing has been, ‘All right, my team has been 10 games under .500 or not in the playoffs,' but every year we've found a way to be in the postseason, and this year I think we're in much better position than we have been in the past two seasons that I didn't make it. I think I've gotten over the emotional part of it the last few times that I didn't make it. Now I'm kind of like expecting it to go that way, but I feel like I should be there.”

Hopefully, players like Lillard can make the All-Star game, and that the captain's and coaches' vote can negate the uneven fans voting in time for the big game.
