Throughout his NBA career, DeMarcus Cousins has shown that he is not the type who is shy to troll and get into heated exchanges with his opponents. With five fouls on Stephen Curry on Monday, the three-time All-Star center tried to get him end his night early, as he attempted to imitate how he fishes for fouls while taking a 3-pointer.
Cousins failed miserably trying it, and was clearly seen flopping by falling to the floor despite only getting minimal contact from the former back-to-back MVP. To his credit though, he immediately stood up and went back on defense to also avoid receiving a fine from the league office.
Coach: "Steph Curry has 5 fouls. Let's get him out."
DeMarcus Cousins: "Hold my drink."

The play only added to Cousins’ frustrations, as he was plagued with foul trouble all night long. The Pelicans ultimately bowed down 125-115, and lost for the fifth time in their last six games. The 6-foot-11 big man still finished with a solid stat line of 19 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, five steals and three blocks, but it wasn’t enough to give his team the victory.
If there’s any silver lining to their defeat, the Pelicans may have Anthony Davis back soon, as they dodged a bullet with the results of the tests done on him. It revealed no tear in his adductor injury, and just a sprain. He suited up on Monday, but remained on the bench, which goes to show that he is nearing a return.
