Karl-Anthony Towns had a hilarious reaction towards the New York Knicks signing of former San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan.

Sochan revealed his decision to join the Knicks earlier this week. This comes after the Spurs made the choice to release him into free agency waivers. That saw his time with the franchise come to an end after four seasons, having played a solid role throughout their rebuilding years.

The young forward will provide versatility on the New York roster, improving its depth as the team desires a deep playoff run. Towns caught the news by surprise after finding Sochan's post on social media.

“No way this how I find out 😂😂😂,” Towns wrote.

Karl-Anthony Towns and the Knicks will be looking forward to seeing what Jeremy Sochan brings to the table.

Sochan was active as a playmaker throughout his four-year stint with the Spurs. After 212 career appearances with San Antonio, he averaged 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He shot 46.8% from the field, including 28.7% from beyond the arc, and 72.3% from the free-throw line.

Sochan's role was the smallest it has been this season, seeing the likes of Devin Vassell, Julian Champagnie, Harrison Barnes, and rookie Carter Bryant play over him in the rotation. Going to New York will allow him to have an active role off the bench, where the forward position can afford to have versatility and playmaking production.

New York has a 35-20 record on the season, holding the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings. They are above the Cleveland Cavaliers by one game and the Toronto Raptors by three games, while trailing the Boston Celtics by 0.5 games and the Detroit Pistons by six games.

The Knicks are on break due to All-Star Weekend, but will resume play next week. They will be at home when they host the Pistons on Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
