New York Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau has been around the game for quite some time now. He's seen his fair share of talent through the years which is why it's more than a little bit intriguing for him to imply that the Knicks appear to have unearthed the next Stephen Curry or the successor to Damian Lillard.
Coach Thibs had nothing but praise for Knicks rookie Immanuel Quickley and his insane range:
“We have a 4-point line at our practice facility, and he shoots just as effectively from that area,” Thibodeau said, via Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News. “When he has an opening in transition sometimes those are the best looks that he’ll get.”
Are we set to witness the emergence of “Logo IQ” in the next couple of years? Based on how confident his coach seems to be with regards to Quickley's ability to score from distance, this appears to be a distinct possibility.
Selected by the Knicks as the 25th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Quickley was quickly able to establish himself as one of the most promising rookies in his class. He's emerged as one of the biggest steals of the draft and it looks like he isn't slowing down one bit.

He's also averaging just 19.5 minutes off the bench for the Knicks which makes his success rate from three-point territory even more noteworthy.
Quickley isn't going to reach Steph Curry or Dame Lillard heights anytime soon, but it's hard to deny that this kid has a very bright future ahead of him in the NBA.
