With news recently emerging regarding New Orleans Pelicans forward Julius Randle and his decision not to exercise the player option of his current deal for next season, the New York Knicks have reportedly shown interest in signing the 24-year-old.
The Knicks have not had a good summer thus far, and according to Marc Berman of the New York Post, team president Steve Mills has been looking at other options, which includes the 6-foot-9 Randle.

Or in a long-term deal, pursue former Laker and Pelican Julius Randle, whom they like, or take a flier on former No. 2 pick Jabari Parker, who has been an injury-riddled bust.
First, the Knicks missed out on the first overall pick in the lottery. This was followed by rumors pertaining to one of their top free agent targets, Kyrie Irving, wanting to sign with the Brookly Nets. Finally, just days ago, the Los Angeles Lakers successfully traded for Anthony Davis — another target by New York.
The Knicks now appear to be exploring several Plan B options, with Randle now in their cross hairs. New York still remain to be one of the most attractive destination for free agents, so if they indeed decide to pursue Randle, then they should have a legitimate shot at acquiring the services of the former Kentucky standout.
