Jordan Brand unveiled the second signature performance shoe of Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook, who is arguably the company's biggest endorser.
Jordan Brand, via Nike News, unveiled Westbrook's new signature kicks called the Why Not? Zer0.2 sneaker. It will come out in a multi-color edition dubbed as “Future History” on January 10.
The Why Not? Zer0.2 “Future History” edition features blue, black, orange, and red hints on the upper part. It was finished off with a white midsole and outsole, with a touch of yellow hints in the middle. Nike revealed that the colors used in this edition were “meant to reference a uniform that has helped define” the career of the Thunder superstar.
Russell Westbrook also revealed that the new signature shoe was made to honor people close to him. It has a family crest on the inner tongue. The former NBA Most Valuable Player also added a black block on the midsole as a tribute to his late best friend, Khelcey Barrs III.
While the design looks random, it was revealed that the performance feature of this shoe has one sole purpose. It's tailor-made for Westbrook's style of play inside the hardcourt. Westbrook is known as one of the most intense players in the world, making highlights with his daredevil plays for the Thunder.

Russell Westbrook also made sure that kids will enjoy his second signature shoe.
“My family and the youth, in general, inspire me constantly. I made sure that the “Future History” colorway of the new Why Not? Zer0.2 would be available for boys and girls of all ages,” Westbrook said via Jordan Brand's official website. “I even had our design team put my family crest on the tongue of the shoe.”
It was reported that the new Why Not? Zer0.2 will be available in full family sizing starting next week.
