With Game 1 of the highly-anticipated first-round series between the No. 4 seed Oklahoma City Thunder and No. 5 seed Utah Jazz scheduled to tip off tomorrow afternoon, one of the most intriguing player matchups will be between Thunder star forward Paul George and Jazz rising star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell.

On Saturday, George seemed pretty confident when he opened up about facing Mitchell and a hot Jazz team.

“Y’all ain’t met Playoff P yet, huh?” George said with a smile. “I'm used to these matchups and I'm used to playing against the best offensive guys during these moments.”

George also said that Thunder teammate Corey Brewer would also be matched up with Mitchell at times, but the All-Star forward will definitely guard the rising star rookie in crunch time.

“Not to say Corey won't guard him, but that'll definitely be my role,” George said. “Especially late in games to take that matchup.”

The OKC star also described what his Playoff P alter ego represents.

“That's a fun guy to watch. It's an out-of-body person where I just lock in and put myself in a different zone,” George said.

A video of George's interview with members of the media, which was kindly posted to Twitter by Thunder beat writer Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript, can be viewed below.

In 65 career postseason games during his days with the Indiana Pacers, George averaged 19.0 points on 42.3 percent shooting from the field, 7.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
