The Russell Westbrook and Utah Jazz fan saga ended after the NBA and the Jazz organization handed out respective sanctions. Now, the Oklahoma City star guard is done talking about the banned fan.
Right after their 108-96 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, Westbrook told the media that he was going only to entertain questions about the recent game. Any other questions will not merit an answer from him. Per Royce Young of ESPN, the former league MVP said:
“If you want to talk about tonight's game, we can do it. If not, enjoy your night.”
Russell Westbrook did not want to discuss the lifetime ban for the Jazz fan: "If you want to talk about tonight's game, we can do it. If not, enjoy your night." Of note: Postgame was the first time Westbrook was available since the ban. He declined to talk pregame.

It was the first time that Russell Westbrook was available for press interviews since the sanctions. Before the Thunder's game against the Nets, the 30-year-old declined to talk.
According to the rules, he's required to be available at least once on gameday before tipoff, whether at shootaround or in the locker room pregame.
After a thorough investigation, the Jazz found out that the fan, Shane Keisel, hurled racist remarks at Westbrook which forced the latter to retaliate. Utah banned the fan from attending home games for life. Westbrook, meanwhile, was fined $25,000 by the NBA for his inappropriate actions to the fan.
The likes of LeBron James, Donovan Mitchell, and Quin Snyder have voiced out their support for Westbrook. Several have also praised the Jazz for their efforts in resolving the incident.
