We may have already seen Russell Westbrook's last game in an Oklahoma City Thunder uniform.
Following the Los Angeles Clippers' shocking sign-and-trade for forward Paul George, the Thunder may now be running out of options regarding its franchise cornerstone in Westbrook.
OKC also traded solid contributor in Jerami Grant to the emerging Denver Nuggets for a 2020 first-round pick.
Breaking up the team could be the only option for the Thunder in a loaded Western Conference, and trading Westbrook could be the pièce de résistance and final move ending a great run by general manager Sam Presti.

With that being said, it's not like Westbrook would be enthusiastic about leaving Oklahoma City — the only NBA franchise he's known in his 11-year career. The Seattle SuperSonics drafted the UCLA product fourth overall in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft before immediately moving the organization to OKC.
Shipping Westbrook, 30, to another team might be the only option for both parties, however, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Westbrook signed a supermax contract extension in September of 2017 and he's due to earn $38 million next season. By 2022-23, the former league MVP will have the right to exercise a player option and earn more than $45 million.
It's a tough ask for the Thunder to keep Westbrook while the team will seemingly rebuild, load up on draft picks, and go young — in spite of Westbrook's original plans with the franchise.
