Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown thinks Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic is “one of the most underrated players” in the NBA.

Vucevic has averaged a double-double five out of the seven years he's been with the Magic. The 28-year-old made his first All-Star team this season.

Nikola began his NBA career with the Sixers before Philly traded him to the Magic in 2012.

“I think he’s one of the most underrated players in our league,” Brown told John Denton of Magic.com. “I think night in, night out he just gets it done. He's a big man that is nimble and his ability to use both hands close to the basket efficiently is excellent.

“Over the years, defensively he’s improved a lot. The thing that stands out the most is his reliability. I just feel like he’s somebody, for the most part, who you know what you’re going to get. In today’s modern NBA, that isn’t entirely common.”

This season for the Magic, Nikola Vucevic is trying to lead Orlando to the postseason for the first time since 2012, the final year of the Dwight Howard era.

In 72 games, Vucevic is averaging 20.7 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest while shooting 52.0 percent from the field, 36.6 percent from beyond the arc and 78.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Nikola has 53 double-doubles on the season. Entering Monday, that's fourth in the NBA.

Vucevic becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. Whether it's from the Magic or another team, the big man is going to get paid.
