On Thursday, Orlando Magic big man Nikola Vucevic got his well-deserved, first ever call-up to the All-Star team in his eight-year career.

His Magic teammates were equally ecstatic to learn about the big news, and decided to treat Vucevic to a championship-style celebration in the locker room.

It's awesome that the team were able to capture such an endearing moment, and this just shows how individual achievements translate to a boost in the overall morale of the entire team. Everybody appeared to be genuinely happy with the recent development, and the team made sure Vucevic knew how proud they were of him.

Vucevic capped off his memorable night with another noteworthy performance, as he helped his team fend off the visiting Indiana Pacers, 107-100. The 28-year-old scored 17 points (on 8-of-15 shooting), and added a three-pointer, 10 rebounds, and five assists in 35 minutes of action.

On the season, the 7-foot center is averaging 20.6 points (on 52.1 percent from the field), 1.2 three-pointers, 12.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 31.3 minutes per game. These are across the board career-best marks for Vucevic, and it is hard to argue against his recent All-Star selection.

Vucevic is currently on a contract year, with his current four-year, $48 million deal expiring in the summer. There have been talks of an extension, but nothing appears imminent as of late. The former USC standout has definitely made the most out of a contract year, and his recent achievement will certainly put him in a better position to negotiate for a bigger payday.
