Ben Simmons's name made the rounds on social media after a transgender IG model named Amani steeped some hot tea that she is seeing the Philadelphia 76ers star. Amani shared screenshots of her alleged conversations with the Sixers point guard in a now-deleted post and added that Simmons even tried to fly her out. Of course, social media saw the post and this quickly became a brewing topic all over Twitter.
However, majority of NBA fans were skeptical of the transgender's claims on Simmons, considering she deleted her Instagram account shortly after her salacious revelations spread all over the news. Here are some reactions from NBA Twitter:

Others even joked how this alleged spat brought Dwight Howard – who had his own controversy a couple of seasons ago – over to the City of Brotherly Love.

Others, meanwhile, couldn't care less and even hinted that there's nothing wrong if these are indeed factual claims by Amani.
Honestly who gives a fuck. The only reason this has any traction is because the girl is trans. If he is into that who cares, my guys still an all-star. People need to mind their own business.

Perhaps the most sensible take from all this Ben Simmons drama is the last one above. Nevertheless, it's hard to believe anything on the internet these days. People can just make up fake “evidence” and provide fictitious claims from out of nowhere.
As for Simmons, he didn't even take time to address these claims, nor should he ever. The Sixers All-Star is busy helping Philadelphia stay atop the Eastern Conference standings.
Simmons missed Philadelphia's most recent outing on Thursday night, where they lost to the Portland Trail Blazers, which had their three best players in Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, and Jusuf Nurkic all out of the lineup due to injuries.
The Sixers hope to have the 6-foot-10 lefty back as soon as their next contest, as they prepare for a colossal showdown with the powerhouse Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.
