With another triple-double last night against the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia Sixers young star Ben Simmons already has the 2nd-most triple-doubles in the first two seasons of any player's career. Oscar Robertson still holds that top plaque with 67 triple-doubles.

The 6-foot-10 point guard stuffed the stat sheet with impressive numbers of 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists in last night's loss against the Bucks. It was the second triple-double for Simmons this season after he put up a 13-13-11 stat line against the Chicago Bulls a couple of games back.
While the Sixers are having a disappointing start to their season so far, the consistent and steady progress of Simmons' game is certainly a welcome sight for the team. A lower back tightness forced Simmons to sit out the team's previous game versus the Detroit Pistons. But the sophomore's outstanding play last night should relieve the concerns of worried Sixers fans.
With how Simmons is playing so far, it could be assumed that the young stud has a chance to finish the season with a triple-double average. Today's pace-and-space style of play makes the game a bit faster, and lets point guards like Simmons to create more scoring opportunities for his teammates.
Interestingly though, Simmons is yet to attempt a three-point shot in his first four games this year. The 22-year old former Rookie of the Year has made it a point to enhance his perimeter shooting, but we are yet to see this improvement in his game.
