NBA legend Kobe Bryant, who's known for perfect shooting mechanics, offered advice to budding superstar Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers. He said that Simmons should change his jump shot.

In an interview for the Chris and Caron show on Fox Sports Radio, Bryant said:

“Just aesthetically, I would say build that thing anew,” Bryant said with a laugh, following up with, “I don’t think the game came down to that though.”

It's not just Bryant who has noticed the seeming awkwardness in Simmons' form. Analysts and critics believe that Simmons, who shoots with his left, is a righty at heart.

But per AJ Neuharth-Keusch of USA TODAY Sports, Simmons plans to make minor changes in his jump shot. He won't totally heed Bryant's advice:

“I think minor things. But changing the whole shot, no. I think just working on it, adjusting to where I want the ball, loosening my shoulder up, also. Just getting shots up.”

Such comments come in after Simmons was seemingly exposed in the series against the Boston Celtics. His lack of confidence in his jump shot was apparent. The Celtics knew that Simmons does not possess a reliable jump shot. His moves were limited to forcing his way to the hole or passing it to an open teammate. Simmons realized this and intends to add a jump shot to his arsenal:

“Obviously, I'm very good at getting to the rim and making plays,” Simmons said. “That's what they were trying to stop me from doing, and they did a good job of doing that. That's one of those things where you just want to improve your game and get better. Once you starting hitting the shots, they change up their defense. Everything has a counter.”
