The Philadelphia 76ers have been on a roll as of late, due in large part to the play of all-NBA center Joel Embiid. What Embiid could use, however, is a “second star” to handle a little bit of the load. With Ben Simmons currently sitting out due to trade demands, Tobias Harris has failed to give up to that title. Sixers GM Daryl Morey was asked about adding to the team and about the rumors that it would take a trade of Simmons and/or Harris if Philadelphia is going to do that, and had this to say:

While “Ballsack Sports” may not be a household name just yet–and it probably never will be– the name of the site alone drew enough of Morey's attention to constitute him bringing it up unprovoked. Props to them for that, they at least have something that most people don't and that is a bit of brand recognition. After starting in June of 2021, Ballsack Sports has already amassed 15,000 followers on Twitter and claims to have been featured on ESPN. How much of that is real and how much is made up is a mystery that only they and Morey know…for now.
The NBA's trade deadline is less than three weeks away, and deadlines are notorious for spurring action so we will see what comes of this…if anything ever does. If the Sixers do trade Simmons, he would become the second NBA player on a max contract that has been traded in the past six months after Russel Westbrook was traded in the 2021 offseason.
