When the Philadelphia 76ers acquired Jimmy Butler in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves back in November, they knew it came with the caveat of Butler potentially being a rental.
Butler is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, and there has been a lot of chatter about Butler wanting to head out West to join the Los Angeles Clippers.
Well, the offseason has now begun for Butler, as he and the 76ers were eliminated from the playoffs by the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night.
But is the 29-year-old already making free-agent plans? He says no.

Ironically enough, a common rumor has been Butler possibly teaming up with Kawhi Leonard, the superstar who just beat his Sixers with a buzzer-beater in Game 7.
Should Butler depart Philadelphia this summer, his new destination would represent his fourth team since 2017, as he was traded from the Chicago Bulls to the Timberwolves on draft night in 2017. He then spent just one season in Minnesota before demanding a trade, and the Wolves eventually granted his wish by sending him to the 76ers earlier this season.
Butler played in 65 games overall during the 2018-19 campaign, averaging 18.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, four assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
