The Philadelphia 76ers took care of business on Saturday, defeating the Dallas Mavericks, 106-100. The Sixers had to do it without the services of All-Star wing Jimmy Butler, who was out with an illness.
Whispers have recently emerged regarding Butler's relationship with his teammates, and there have been some rumors that he has been causing some trouble within the team.
Sixers stars Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid were quick to try and douse the flames of these untoward reports, claiming that all is sunny in Philadelphia.

Embiid seemed to have echoed the sentiments of his Australian teammate.
“Everybody is trying to fit in,” he said. “We are going to keep working on it. We are inching toward it, and we are going to get there.”
Then again, Embiid's statement does appear to hold a lot more weight than that of Simmons. By saying that the team's chemistry remains to be a work in progress, he practically admitted that there continues to be some unresolved issues within the team. This is presumably between Butler, who arrived via trade a couple of months back, and the rest of the Sixers.
There will understandably be a few hiccups along the way for the Sixers, as they continue to find their new identity following the huge mid-season trade. They still have the second half of the season to figure things out, and based on what everybody on the team has been saying, they should get there sooner rather than later.
