Just one day after being selected to Team LeBron as Cleveland Cavaliers superstar forward LeBron James' starting center, New Orleans Pelicans big man DeMarcus Cousins ruptured his left Achilles tendon in the final seconds of the team's 115-113 win over the Houston Rockets.

One fellow big man who gave Cousins a lot of praise on Saturday was none other than Philadelphia 76ers All-Star center Joel Embiid, who is slated to be Team Stephen's starting center for Golden State Warriors superstar guard Stephen Curry's team in Los Angeles on Feb. 18.

In a video posted to Twitter on Saturday by Legion Hoops, Embiid gave his thoughts on Cousins' season-ending Achilles injury and offered a lot of praise for him.

“Oh my gosh. All I can say is that I'm going to pray for him. I'm a firm believer in God and I pray a lot, so he's definitely going to be in my prayers,” Embiid said of Cousins. “I think right now he's the best big man in the league offensively.”

The Sixers center also stated that he admires the way Cousins plays the game of basketball, noting how amazed he is with what the Pelicans big man is able to do on the court.

“Hopefully he gets back on the court pretty soon because his talent is insane,” Embiid said. “The things he can do on the court are amazing. He's one of the guys that I usually watch when I try to learn and get better. Hopefully we get him back pretty soon, but I'm definitely going to pray for him.”

A very classy thing to say by Embiid, that's for sure, which Cousins surely will appreciate. Nevertheless, these two behemoths are still set for more encounters in the future, being two of the NBA's premier talents at the center position.
