The Philadelphia 76ers made a splash at the trade deadline with the acquisition of former Los Angeles Clippers forward Tobias Harris. It appears he is already preparing for the long haul in Philadelphia.
There is no question that the Sixers have gone all in on contending for a championship this season. However, Harris said that he hopes to remain with the team for years to come, per The Associated Press:
“The top of the list for me is winning culture and No. 2 is loyalty,” Harris said Thursday. “Just finding the right situation for team basketball, a winning culture and loyalty from both sides. This team has made a big trade and I’m hopeful it can be a long-term partnership.”

It is nice to see that Harris is already seemingly committed to what is going on in Philly. This is certainly an encouraging sign since the expectations for this team are now higher than ever moving forward. Fortunately, there is good reason to suggest that he will be.
Harris is in the final year of his current contract, and his stellar performance this season suggests he is in for a lucrative offseason. Despite his potential prospects in free agency, it seems he is already enamored with the prospect of making a championship run with the Sixers. Although nothing is ever set in stone, it is safe to assume that the front office will look to sign him to a new long-term deal considering they gave up four draft picks and three key role players in order to bring him and big men Boban Marjanovic and Mike Scott to Philly.
