For those unfamiliar with the antics of Joel Embiid, this is how he rolls. He's fond of trash talking, but he knows that it's all part of the game. His smack talk doesn't mean he's disrespecting his foes.

Joel Embiid himself had a monster night with 31 points and 19 rebounds. Teammate Ben Simmons also chipped in a stellar performance with 22 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

The win brings the Sixers' record to 13-7. They are now riding a four-game winning streak. After the slow start, the Sixers — who are expected to reach greater heights this season — are now racking up the victories with Joel Embiid leading the way even after the Jimmy Butler trade. Philly is sitting at No. 3 in the Eastern Conference with the victory and is trying to move past the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks.

The Pelicans, meanwhile, have dropped to 10-8. Davis, who struggled from the field (4-of-13), managed to put up a rare 5×5 game. He finished with 12 points, 16 rebounds, six assists, five blocks, and five steals. Teammates Jrue Holiday and E'Twaun Moore put up 30 points apiece. Julius Randle came off the bench and finished with a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
