Sacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield has been in the trade rumor mill for quite a while. However, it seems like any kind of trade talks involving the sharp-shooter isn't gaining a ton of traction. Reports of Hield not answering the calls of his head coach Luke Walton could be an indication that he has checked out of Sacramento, mentally at least. After starting all 82 games in the 2018-19 season, Hield saw himself getting relegated to the bench midway through his first season under Walton. The former Oklahoma Sooner didn't appreciate the move and has apparently soured on his new coach.
The Bahamian earlier gave a subtle hint on the team he wants to play for next – the Philadelphia 76ers. Hield would certainly fit well with a Sixers team that sorely needs to add more three-point shooting. The 6-foot-5 guard is one of the best shooters in the league. His career 41.1 percent shooting from downtown would certainly make him a coveted piece for Philadelphia's clogged half-court offense.
However, as the most recent reports claimed, it seems like any momentum for a Buddy Hield trade has been put on pause.
