Veteran forward Jared Dudley is entering his 11th season in the league where he's expected to play in a significant role off the bench for the Phoenix Suns
However, Zach Lowe of ESPN recently wrote a piece that suggested the Minnesota Timberwolves acquire him in exchange for big man Cole Aldrich that demeaned the value of Dudley in the process. It didn't take long for the 32-year-old issue a response via social media.
This @ZachLowe_NBA prediction today has legs. Told the #Twolves have poked around about Dudley's summer left toe surgery. pic.twitter.com/5KWzAt9goo

He has no idea my value.. my shooting alone opens up space for stars to be stars.. then look at my defensive rating🤷🏽♂️ https://t.co/lJcdS3kqHX

Jared Dudley has presented a fair argument as he has shown the ability to stretch the floor with his shooting while being able to play both forward positions if need be. In his first 10 seasons in the league, Dudley is shooting 39.7 percent from beyond the arc while averaging 8.3 points per game in 24.0 minutes per contest.
On top of that, he has developed the reputation of being an above-average defender that has made him a valuable asset as a prototypical “3-and-D” player. In the modern NBA, his skill set fits in seamlessly in the offensive schemes across the league where there is a great importance on spreading the floor with outside shooting.
At the same time, it has made him a valuable trade asset that teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves could look to acquire because of what he brings to the table. Jared Dudley could certainly be a player on the move prior to the trade deadline this upcoming season.
