Following his second championship in three years, Draymond Green hasn't reverted to taking the humble route. If you thought the reigning Defensive Player of the Year was a little more subtle than his trash-talking self on the court — you are dead wrong.

Only days after the elation of winning a championship on home ground, having a parade that perhaps one-upped the one on 2015 after the city's thirst for an NBA championship had finally been quenched after 40 years, he was back at reading the news — as he usually does.

This time, Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey had something to say, noting his team and another will try to crack the puzzle that the Golden State Warriors have become over the past three years.

“They are not unbeatable,” Morey said. There have been bigger upsets in sports history. We are going to keep improving our roster. We are used to long odds. If Golden State makes the odds longer, we might up our risk profile and get even more aggressive. We have something up our sleeve.”

Green then paused, scoffing at Morey’s comments after he shared this very quote with the rest of his teammates over a group message.

“What the f*** are you talking about?” he told GQ's Clay Skipper while emphatically bumping the table for emphasis. “They are really trying to rethink their whole strategy because teams know they don’t have a f***ing clue.”

Morey's Rockets three-point-heavy efforts have fallen flat against the Warriors, but a key offseason acquisition in Chris Paul could just get the team over the hump over the course of the season.

The Warriors and the Rockets will get their first taste of competition on Oct. 17 as part of opening night.
