With the Washington Wizards still on the run for Indiana Pacers swingman Paul George, point guard John Wall offered his sincere thoughts on his possible addition to the team which could end up with the Wizards comprising one of the best 1-2-3 punches in the NBA.
Article Continues Below“Paul George is one of those one-of-a-kind type of players that can do it on both ends of the floor,” Wall told Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype in his podcast. “He definitely can create his own shot and guard some of the best players.”
“If he did have the opportunity to come to our team, he would be a great piece for us. That would be another guy that would really make us a contender and put us in a different conversation than what we were in this year.”
George wouldn't just give the Wizards another three-point shooter to space the floor, but a dynamic two-way player that can make the opposition pay with his long reach at 6-foot-9, getting into passing lanes and stripping ball-handlers in the open court.
The 27-year-old has openly said through his camp that his destination of choice are the Los Angeles Lakers, but Wall is holding onto hope his front office can muster something to potentially entice the two-way star player to re-sign with the team if traded there within the next day.
