Bryce Harper signed a monster deal with the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday, ending his seven-year tenure with the Washington Nationals and making Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal the biggest star in the nation's capital now.
Harper and the Phillies have agreed in principle to a 13-year, $330 million deal.
Beal took to Twitter to react to Harper leaving DC for Philly:

Bradley Beal is probably a little jealous of the money which is coming Bryce Harper's way. Who wouldn't be excited to get $330 million over a 13-year span?
Article Continues BelowNationals fans are probably upset by Harper's move, but at least Washington still has Beal on the Wizards. With Harper gone and Wizards All-Star point guard John Wall out for the season, Beal now has the title of the best athlete in Washington.
The sharpshooter has said multiple times he wants to retire with the Wizards. Beal is all about loyalty.
The All-Star guard can't become a free agent until 2021. So, unless the Wizards trade him, Beal is going to be a Wizard for a few more seasons and then the fans are hoping he will sign another long-term extension with the Wizards in 2021.
This season, Bradley Beal is averaging 25.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.
