Washington Wizards All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal views his name being connected to trade rumors as a “positive.”

Beal says it's a good thing that other teams in the league want you. The Wizards are said to be reluctant to trading Beal, who has been connected to the Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat.

Beal says he doesn't panic when he hears trade rumors because he knows it's part of the business of the NBA.

“I always view it as a positive,” Beal told NBC Sports Washington. “When many teams want you, you're doing something right. I don't panic about it. I don't worry about it. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Like I said I still have two years left (on my deal). It's the business we live in.”

Bradley Beal will make $27,093,019 next season and $28,751,775 in 2020-21.

He averaged 25.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists this past season for the Wizards while shooting 47.5 percent from the field, 35.1 percent beyond the arc and 80.8 percent from the free-throw line.

With star point guard John Wall expected to miss the majority of the 2019-20 season, the Wizards will likely keep Beal unless some team out there presents them with a monster offer like the one the Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder agreed to for Paul George.
