The Washington Wizards pulled off one of the bigger upsets of the season so far on Sunday night, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder by a final score of 116-98. In even more surprising news, this was the first time in history that the Wizards won in Oklahoma City.

While it's true that winning on the road is a tough task, it is ridiculous that the Wizards hadn't won a single game in OKC in 11 years.

Regardless, the Wizards certainly deserved this win. They were led by 25 points from Bradley Beal, who also had six rebounds and five assists. The team got a huge lift off the bench from Otto Porter Jr. who chipped in 20 points.

When John Wall underwent heel surgery, most people expected the Wizards to enter full tank mode. Instead, the team has won three of its last four games and looks to continue building on its impressive and unexpected play.

In a weak Eastern Conference where playing at a .500 level will earn you a playoff spot, it is far too early to count out the Wizards. Behind Beal and Porter, the team could continue to surprise and actually nab a spot after a terrible start.
