Florida State football opens up the 2o23 season on Sunday night in what is expected to be the marquee matchup of the week one college football slate. The Seminoles begin with a neutral site battle against LSU football. The two teams played in week one last season as well, and Florida State won an instant classic. The Tigers led an incredible drive at the end of the game to score what they thought was the game typing touchdown as time expired, but Florida State blocked the extra point to get the win. It was an incredible game, and it's expected to be a doozy this year as well.

Last year, both teams were unranked heading into the game, but things are a little different this time around as LSU is ranked #5 and the Seminoles are #8. Expectations are incredibly high for both programs, and Florida State's main goal this season is winning a national title. Star WR Johnny Wilson believes that they will achieve that goal.

Florida State fans will love to hear that mentality. It's been awhile since the Seminoles had this kind of hype heading into a season, and fans have been waiting for that. There is a lot of potential with this team, and it should be a very exciting season for Florida State football.
