The Michigan football program and Jim Harbaugh have been under fire after an investigation was announced regarding sign stealing, and former Michigan tight end Jake Butt recently came out to defend his old coach.
“Sign stealing is not illegal,” Jake Butt said, via Stadium. “You can steal signs from film. You can steal signs from TV copy. So the videos going around prove nothing illegal. This gives ammo to your enemies and opponents to say, ‘Well, this is why you've been so successful,' and I just, I completely disagree with that. And I think this whole situation, it's unnecessary to have been here.”

“I don't think it's crazy to say that Connor Stalions was completely out of line,” Joshua Perry said, via Stadium. “He bought the tickets. They have proof of that. What we don't know is how much Jim Harbaugh knew. How much anybody else on that staff knew. It looked like he was very confident what he was seeing. But a lot of people have done this.”
A lot of people have spoken out on both sides of the issue. It will be worth monitoring the investigation into Harbaugh and Michigan as it progresses.
