The weekend is almost here again! So if you're looking for something awesome to watch on Amazon Prime, don't worry, I got you. Here's what's new to Amazon this weekend.

New to Amazon This Weekend (September 3-5)

On Wednesday, September 1, Amazon Prime released a plethora of new series and films for everyone to watch and enjoy. However, this weekend, the only film that'll be releasing is the highly anticipated romantic musical film Cinderella, based on the fairy tale of the same name. Written and directed by Kay Cannon, it stars singer Camila Cabello as the title character in her acting debut, alongside Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan.

Richard Roeper from Chicago Sun-Times had this to say about the musical: “Idina Menzel is her usual spectacular self as arguably the most nuanced and empathetic ‘evil' stepmother in ‘Cinderella' history. It's also pretty great when Cinderella, while flattered by the prince's pursuit of her, makes it clear she'd really like to pursue a career as a dress designer and doesn't just want to be a princess lolling about in a castle all day. ‘Cinderella' is filled with positive messages for princes and princesses of all ages, the soundtrack is irresistible and Camila Cabello can now add ‘movie star' to her resume.”

It seems like it'll be yet another fresh take on the classic fairy tale. A film that everyone in the family will truly enjoy.
