The 2022 NFL Draft is quickly approaching and the league and prospects are preparing for its arrival. However, the 2022 quarterback class has gotten a bad rap ahead of the April 28 draft. There isn't a “standout star” like Trevor Lawrence or Mac Jones, but that doesn't mean there aren't quality quarterbacks to choose from.

University of Nevada quarterback addressed the situation at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine. According to Detroit Lions beat reporter Kyle Meinke, Strong said the quarterback class is receiving “a lot” of unwarranted “crap.”

Strong mentioned Malik Willis, the quarterback out of Liberty University and praised his talents. Pro Football Network ranked Willis as the top quarterback in this year's NFL Draft.

The Nevada quarterback also addressed his Achilles' Heel that could turn NFL teams away from him this Spring, his injury history. Strong continues to deal with the aftermath of a significant knee injury he suffered in high school. Pro Football Network ranked Strong number four on the list, behind Willis, Kenny Pickett of Pittsburgh, and Sam Howell of North Carolina.

There are plenty of teams heading into the 2022 NFL Draft that are on the market for franchise quarterbacks. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers both lost their star veterans to retirement this offseason. Meanwhile, teams like the Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts could decide to move on from their quarterbacks and pick up some new talent.
