Antonio Brown may be out of the NFL for now, but that doesn't mean that he's going quietly into the night until he gets another shot at the pros. He'll be fighting a new battle in a new field, but against familiar opponents.

The controversial wide receiver will be suing both the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders for grievances, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. According to his camp, both franchises owe him up to $40 million in unpaid wages.

Included in the grievance is his challenge for the Raiders' discipline that cost him $215,000 in fines. He's also asking for a week's worth of pay — $860,294 — from the time he asked out of the team as well as his $29 million in guaranteed salary and the $1 million signing bonus which weren't paid.

From the Patriots, he demands his Week 1 salary of $64,042 and the rest of the $1.025 million in guaranteed salary. His $9 million signing bonus wasn't given as well.

The free-agent wideout challenged the players' association to help him with his case against his former teams.

“We will see if the @NFLPA hold them accountable,” Brown tweeted. “Sad they can just void guarantees anytime going on 40m 2 months will see if they pay up!”

However, there are other legal battles waiting for him.

His former landowner, Vladimir Kirsanov, is accusing him of noncompliance during the deposition of their legal battle. He reportedly refused to cooperate during the trials.

Moreover, the 31-year-old is still to meet with NFL-sanctioned investigators regarding allegations of sexual assault and rape of two separate women. It's unknown why he doesn't want to talk to the league about the allegations.

This is not the kind of battles Antonio Brown envisioned being in. However, he has no choice but to fight them if he wants to clear his name.
