NFL free agent running back Le'Veon Bell liked a tweet on Twitter that hinted he's interested in joining the Kansas City Chiefs.

Bell is an unrestricted free agent after getting waived by the New York Jets on Tuesday after the team couldn't find a trade partner.

The Chiefs already have the best quarterback in the game in Patrick Mahomes. If they are somehow able to add Le'Veon Bell, their offense would become even more explosive than it already is.

Bell's 17-game stint with the Jets was a disaster from start to finish. He carried the ball 264 times for only 863 yards and three touchdowns. The former superstar running back is looking to join a contender and coach who will use him properly on offense.

The Chiefs are coming off a shocking Week 5 loss at home to Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders, so the front office may sign Bell as a way to calm the nerves of the fanbase.

While he may not be that All-Pro player he was with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bell is eager to prove he has something left in the tank after 17 awful games with the Jets.

The Chiefs will take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. That should be a highly competitive game since both teams are coming off their first losses of the season in Week 5.

Josh Allen and the Bills got smacked by the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday night following the originally rescheduled game after the AFC South franchise's outbreak of COVID-19. The Chiefs have been dealing with their own internal outbreak of the coronavirus after two players tested positive.

Bell joined the Jets after sitting out the 2018 NFL season in the final year of his contract with his longtime Steelers.
