Buffalo Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes was not pleased after this past Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins. The loss wasn't the reason why Hughes was upset though. NFL ref Roy Ellison supposedly had some choice words for Hughes during the game.

According to ESPN staff writer Mike Rodak, Hughes accused the official of calling him a “b—-.” He was later restrained by a team staff member and a teammate as he continued to shout at the official, “I'll catch you.” Hughes has not been suspended by the league, but Ellison being placed on leave may suggest a potential punishment is in line for the longtime ref. However this is unlikely for now.

Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams had a similar experience with Ellison back in 2013 in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Williams said Ellison walked by him after a play and called him a “garbage-ass, disrespectful m—–f—–.” Reports like these may not bode too well for Ellison if more players come forth with their own personal experiences.

Although there is video evidence of Hughes going after Ellison in an irate manner in the tunnel after the loss to Miami, Hughes denied what he said and did in the video. “Who did? I did what?” Hughes said. “What did I say? If I did go up to the official, what did I say?” This is odd considering the video clearly shows Hughes and there is no way to question that.
