Jon Gruden recently resigned as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders after the unearthing of a number of racist, sexist, misogynistic and homophobic emails. The emails were discovered during the NFL's investigation into the Washington Football Team.

Given what happened, it's no surprise Saturday Night Live took on this subject and made fun of Gruden, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the league itself, Mark Davis and many more. Colin Jost played Goodell during the skit, while James Austin Johnson played Gruden and Alex Moffat played Mark Davis. We also saw appearances by Pete Davidson as a new Raiders coach named “Larry Rucker” and Chris Redd as Colin Kaepernick. Kenan Thompson has an appearance at the very end as LeVar Burton.

The NFL's Gruden saga was ripe for Saturday Night Live, and SNL even made it the cold open with this lengthy skit. Whatever you think of SNL these days, they did a pretty job good getting these well-deserved digs in.

The Raiders are still reeling from this mess, and now they're trying to find a new full-time head coach while also playing out the season. Las Vegas is 3-2 so far in 2021.
