The NFL regular season is great, but the one thing greater is the NFL playoffs. With Week 18 coming to a close, the brackets for postseason action are officially official. Fourteen teams advanced to the playoffs, and the seeding wasn't decided until the final game of the night.

There were five available playoff spots up for grabs coming into the week, and 11 teams between the two conferences were vying for a playoff birth. Below are the final results and seeding for the teams in the NFL playoffs.

NFL Playoff Bracket – AFC

(1) Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens clinched the top seed and a bye before Week 18, so they were able to rest their starters during the final week of the regular season. The team will have an additional week of rest because of their bye week before they take on the lowest seed remaining in the Divisional round.

Baltimore has the best rushing attack in football, as their 2,661 rushing yards were the most in the NFL. Of course, this attack is led by Lamar Jackson, one of the best rushing quarterbacks ever and the front-runner to win the MVP this year. The Ravens are near the top of the league in points for (483) and points against (280).

(2) Buffalo Bills vs. (7) Pittsburgh Steelers

The Buffalo Bills started off 6-6 and were the 11-seed in the AFC not too long ago, but they ended the year hot and finished as the second-best team in the AFC. The team, led by Josh Allen, will have positive momentum going into the NFL playoffs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be underdogs against Buffalo, but you can never count out a Mike Tomlin-led team. Despite third-stringer Mason Rudolph being the man behind center, the Steelers seem to find ways to win. That is evident by the fact that Pittsburgh has never had a record below .500 with Tomlin as the coach.

(3) Kansas City Chiefs vs. (6) Miami Dolphins

The defending champions are in the playoffs for the ninth straight year, this time as the third seed. The Kansas City Chiefs' defense is better than it has ever been during the Patrick Mahomes era, but the offense hasn't played to their usual standards. This has been largely due to dropped passes. Mahomes' team has made the Conference Championship in each of the last five seasons, though, and no one would be surprised if they make it that far again.

The Chiefs will first have to get past the Miami Dolphins. With Tyreek Hill, Miami has one of the scariest offenses in the league, and the former Chiefs player will certainly be looking for revenge against his old team. Miami will be motivated after a heartbreaking loss to the Bills that forced them to lose out on the division title.

(4) Houston Texans vs. (5) Cleveland Browns

The Houston Texans won three games last year, but C.J. Stroud has completely turned his team around. He had one of the best rookie seasons ever as he led the Texans to a division title. Houston's offense is explosive, but they play a Cleveland Browns team with one of the best defenses and defensive secondaries in the league.

The Browns made Deshaun Watson the highest-paid player in NFL history, but he is not one of the main reasons the team will be battling in the postseason this year. Watson is out for the rest of the season with an injury, but Joe Flacco has taken over and thrived in one of the best comeback seasons in the history of the sport.

NFL Playoff Bracket – NFC

(1) San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have a deep and talented roster, and it allowed them to have a bye week during wild-card weekend. Brock Purdy was talked about as a possible MVP, but he is surrounded by superstars like Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and Brandon Aiyuk. They will be a scary opponent for whoever the lowest-ranked team to advance to the next round is.

(2) Dallas Cowboys vs. (7) Green Bay Packers

For years, the Dallas Cowboys have disappointed when they've been labeled as contenders. This year seems different, though. Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb have taken their games to a new level, and Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland have given the team a fearsome defense.

The Green Bay Packers snuck into the playoffs on the last day of the regular season. The investment of Jordan Love seems to have paid off, as the first-year starter has the Packers back in the playoffs.

(3) Detroit Lions vs. (6) Los Angeles Rams

Many fans wrote off the Los Angeles Rams after they moved on from a few key veterans from their Super Bowl LVI roster, but Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams resurrected an offense that still has Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp. The biggest storyline of the game will be the fact that Stafford is returning to Detroit to take on his old team.

While the Rams do have a recent Super Bowl win, the Lions haven't had much postseason success in recent years. In fact, they haven't won a playoff game this century. The 2023 version of the Lions seems like the team that can break that curse, though, as the team is stacked on offense and has an improved defense.

(4) Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. (5) Philadelphia Eagles

Baker Mayfield had a Comeback Player of the Year level season while leading the Buccaneers to a division title. It was somewhat of an unexpected run after the retirement of Tom Brady. It was the third straight season that the Buccaneers won the NFC South.

The Eagles have a lot more talent than the average five seed, but the team faltered late in the season. They lost five of their last six games. To make matters worse, a number of their players were hurt in Week 18. Sydney Brown will be lost for the year, and Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown were banged up in the regular season finale as well. The team was a Super Bowl favorite for much of the year, though, and it is possible they get back on track at the right time.
