Following their 27-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, the Atlanta Falcons are 1-7. Their head coach, Dan Quinn, is the natural scapegoat for their demise from a Super Bowl-caliber team a handful of years ago to one that can't buy a win even if they overpaid.
Most predict Quinn to get the boot for his team's poor performance. However, Falcons owner Arthur Blank isn't one to confirm said speculation. He said after the loss, via Tiffany Blackmon of NFL Network:

So, we'll take the next couple of weeks during this period of time, evaluate where we are. Whatever decision we will have to make, it will be made for the right reasons in the long-term. We certainly have a lot of intelligence on this coaching staff… we got three general managers in this building beyond Thomas (Dimitroff), actually four.”
Blank also noted that the NFL is a results-driven business. Quinn and Co. haven't produced results that would keep a business afloat. Nonetheless, he seems to be taking his time to dictate where the Falcons go in the future.
If anything is true, it's that Blank and the rest of Falcons brass has a lot of thinking to do. That will start with the NFL trade deadline on Oct. 29, where they may rid themselves of talent for the betterment of their future.
