It's been a wild Week 9 in the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons looked great in their matchup against the New Orleans Saints, well, at first. New Orleans was able to bounce back take a one-point lead late in the fourth quarter. This game was all too reminiscent of the Falcons' Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots, as Atlanta blew a 24-6 lead against the Saints.
Fortunately for them, the Falcons were able to steal a win away from the Saints in this matchup. Late in the fourth quarter, Atlanta drew up a big-time play, as Cordarrelle Patterson brought his team within field goal range on a long play.

Patterson has been amazing for the Falcons. He's come out of nowhere after being nearly a non-factor throughout most of his career. This play put the Falcons within scoring range, which eventually led to the game-winning kick by Younghoe Koo.

This was the ending the Falcons were hoping for in the Super Bowl against the Patriots. However, this victory brings Atlanta to a 4-4 record, putting them in the mix of a playoff spot in the NFC. Even so, these types of games have become a regular occurrence, as we've seen the Falcons blow big leads several times over the last few years.
With that said, this is a huge win for the Atlanta Falcons. It brings them just one game behind the Saints who have remained competitive despite losing some star power in the offseason. We'll see how the rest of their season plays out, but this franchise isn't going to be an easy win for anybody.
