It was a rough year for the Baltimore Ravens as the franchise dealt with detrimental injuries from the beginning. However, that's all behind them now and the front office has a chance to stack the roster for next year. This team is stacked throughout but they enter a crucial moment to improve the team. The team will improve once some of the key players return from injury. Offensively, there aren't many holes and we should see the Ravens display an elite offense next season. It'll be interesting to see how this franchise approaches the offseason, but the front office should prioritize upgrading the pass rush. The Ravens have a few older players within that position group and need to get younger in the trenches. Bulk Up The Defensive Line
Baltimore will have a ton of options to upgrade the defensive line. We should see the Ravens make some moves in free agency, as it will give them a chance to bulk up that defensive front. It's hard to imagine the front office conducts a trade in the offseason, but you never know. Regardless, the best place for this team to improve the defensive line is through the 2022 NFL Draft.
Free agency will be interesting for the Ravens. With Calais Campbell hitting the market, he could opt to re-sign with Baltimore. He'll at least provide a veteran presence as the younger players coming in adjust to the professional level. Some other potential free agent signings for this team are Dante Fowler Jr., Emmanuel Ogbah, and Larry Ogunjobi.
As previously mentioned, it's hard to imagine the front office pulling off a trade to improve the defensive line. Between the free-agent market and the NFL Draft, the Ravens will be able to successfully bulk up the trenches. It'd be a wiser move for Baltimore to retain as much of their draft capital as possible to maintain their well-balanced roster.
That leaves the NFL Draft. The Ravens need a boost on the defensive line and this year's class is stacked with pass rushers and defensive tackles. This is the perfect time for Baltimore to load up their defensive front and regain control of the trenches. Don't be surprised if the front office selects more than one defensive lineman, as the team aims to set themselves apart from the competition.
