Monday night produced one of the most enthralling matchups of the season, a high-octane contest between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cleveland Browns. The thriller between two recent Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson of Baltimore and Baker Mayfield of Cleveland, went right down the wire, and it prompted equally pumped reactions from the likes of LeBron James and Patrick Mahomes.

The Ravens emerged with a 47-42 victory over the Browns in a truly epic matchup, and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James did not hold back his delight from what turned out to be quite a sporting spectacle:

The rest of the NFL was also tuned in to Ravens – Browns, and for his part, Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes acknowledged the insane nature of the contest:

Lamar Jackson stole the show for the Ravens on Monday, as he finished the contest with 11-of-17 completed passes for 163 yards. The reigning league MVP also logged one touchdown, while also adding nine rushes for an additional 124 yards and two TDs. The 23-year-old hasn't exactly been playing at an elite level of late, but he showed off his full arsenal against the Browns.

It is also worth noting that Jackson exited the game during the fourth period due to a leg cramp. He was able to return not long after to rescue the game for Baltimore. The injury does not seem to be serious, and Jackson likely won't be missing any time because of the same for the Ravens.

The Browns are still likely to make the AFC postseason in January, but the Ravens – with a favorable schedule in the final weeks of the NFL season — are now just one game behind Cleveland and own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Browns. Baltimore could realistically overtake Cleveland for second place in the AFC North, which would deliver a higher playoff seed and push Cleveland downward in the AFC seeding order.
