Mitchell Trubisky and the Chicago Bears are in the midst of a major playoff push this season and have come out of nowhere to be a legitimate contender in the NFC. After years of mediocrity, general manager Ryan Pace and head coach Matt Nagy finally have the proud franchise back on the right track.
Unfortunately, over the last couple of weeks, the Bears have seen second-year quarterback forced out of action due to a shoulder injury. They are hoping to have him back in the near future.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Bears are hoping to get Trubisky back on the field for next week's key matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Chicago is going to be a tough team to beat come playoff time. They have a quality offense, but their defense is one of the most dangerous in the entire NFL. Very few teams have built around their defense, but Pace and company knew how important that would be.
Offense wins games, but defense has always been able to win championships.
Trubisky has put together a very solid second season. He has completed 65.4 percent of his pass attempts for 2,469 yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Leadership has also been a quality that Trubisky has taken to the next level.
If the Bears are going to make a run in the playoffs, they need their starting quarterback available. Chase Daniel played well for Chicago against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, but he is not the kind of guy that will lead the Bears to playoff wins. He will also get the start today.
Expect to see Trubisky work his way back into the starting lineup next week. Chicago and Los Angeles are going to be a fun matchup to watch and it will be the toughest test that Trubisky has had this season.
