Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is now beginning to make his place in The Windy City.

Fields was among the multiple rookie quarterbacks who shined in their respective preseason debuts on Saturday. Following a slow start against the Miami Dolphins, Fields found his footing as the game went on, which paid off in the end as he recorded 142 passing yards and two total touchdowns en route to a 20-13 victory for the Bears.

Today, Fields had the honor of throwing out the first pitch ahead of the Chicago White Sox home series finale against the New York Yankees. He was accompanied by the Bears' current rookie draft class.

It was not a perfect pitch by the former Harrison High School baseball star, but at the least, he did not launch a wild pitch as many others have famously done with their first pitches.

Fields later met up with White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson. Fans of both the Bears and White Sox sure hope that these two can soon bring home championships to the city of Chicago.

Even after a mere one preseason game, Fields has already garnered plenty of support among Bears fans. This is simply the beginning for Fields, as he will have a pair of tests upcoming in the preseason with Chicago's matchups against the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans.

With several more promising showings, it may be only a matter of time before Bears head coach Matt Nagy names Fields as the team's starting quarterback, which would be much deserved for the former Ohio State star.
