There is plenty of optimism surrounding the Chicago Bears this NFL offseason amidst all the changes they made. As a result, there are a number of players looking to prove themselves in the 2018 NFL season.
Among them are quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and wide receiver Kevin White, who have gotten an early start on building their chemistry this offseason. According to ESPN's Emily Kaplan, White says he and Trubisky share the same mindset going into the season.
It is not surprising to see the two have hit it off so quickly. Both are former first-rounders still looking to prove themselves to a Bears franchise that has invested heavily in them.
Chicago selected White with the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, they have seen little return after missing 43 of 48 possible games due to injury. That said, White is hoping the changes he made to his offseason regimen will be the push he needs to get his career back on track in the final year of his rookie contract.
Meanwhile, Trubisky endured a rough rookie campaign in the 2017 NFL season. However, there is plenty of optimism that he will be able to bounce back with a strong year after all the new changes the Bears made this offseason. Although he is poised to rely on former Pro Bowl wideout Allen Robinson, there is hope that his chemistry with White can translate to the game.
