Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has missed the last two weeks while dealing with a shoulder injury, but there is some optimism that he will be able to go this week against the Los Angeles Rams.

Trubisky started throwing again on Friday and had a throwing session on the field before Sunday's game against the New York Giants before deciding he just wasn't quite ready to go.

Bears head coach Matt Nagy expects Trubisky to practice more this week, but is also going to take the cautious approach and not push anything if his franchise quarterback has any setbacks or doesn't quite feel ready.

“He’s getting better and he’s feeling better,” Nagy said, via the Chicago Tribune. “And so I think it’s only fair for today, tomorrow and the next couple of days to go by that. We just keep seeing him throw and we see how he feels and then he tells us. And if we feel like it’s an opportunity for him to go out there and he’s going to be good and safe and our team is good and safe with him in there, then that’s what we’ll do.”

If he can't go, the keys will be handed again to Chase Daniels, who has had a good start and a bad start.

Against the Detroit Lions, he threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns and led the Bears to a victory. Against the New York Giants, he really struggled, throwing for 285 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw two interceptions, one being returned for a touchdown.
