The Chicago Bears have a big test ahead of them as they prepare to face the New Orleans Saints. Fortunately, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky should be able to get into the pocket and throw bombs for the Bears in this game.

Adam Schefter confirmed that Chicago's 25-year-old signal-caller will be able to play after missing many of the team's practices due to an injured shoulder. The news should give fans some hope that they will be able to put up a resistance against the inspired 5-1 Saints.

Chicago head coach Matt Nagy was a bit convinced that his QB1 would be able to return on time for the game. However, he didn't want to pin his hopes on his shoulder recovering on time.

Per ESPN's Jeff Dickerson:

“I always say ‘cautiously optimistic'… I feel good about [where we are with Trubisky],” Nagy said Wednesday. “But we're preparing with both [quarterbacks right now].”

Trubisky was also eager to start the game as he hasn't competed since dislocating his shoulder and slightly tearing his labrum against the Minnesota Vikings. He mentioned earlier that he will show the coaching staff that he's healthy enough to play, and it seems that he managed to do just that.

Trubisky is having an extremely mediocre season so far. He's only thrown for 588 passing yards and three touchdowns in 106 pass attempts. More frustrating for him was his terrible pass completion rates. His first two games didn't even break the 60% mark. While his performances took a big jump since then, it was enough to put questions to the minds of the fans if he was the QB who will bring them success.

He has a chance to prove himself against the Saints, and what a challenge it will be. However, there's nothing more satisfying for a return from injury than leading your team to a win.
