Before joining the Bears, the Texas-born Foles entered the NFL as a third-round selection out of the University of Arizona by the Philadelphia Eagles. After a two-year departure from Philadelphia, Foles re-joined his original squad, eventually leading them to the first Super Bowl title in franchise history in 2017-18 after starting gunslinger Carson Wentz was injured. Foles won Super Bowl MVP honors for his heroics.
Foles was traded to the Bears in March 2020 for a fourth-round pick.
