The future just got brighter for the Chicago Bears, as the young rookie quarterback Justin Fields has brought a breath of fresh air to the football club from the Windy City. Fields has had a middling start to his rookie campaign, having attained 1,282 pass yards, on 111/187 (59.4%) pass completions, and four touchdowns leading up to the Bears' matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

However, Fields' contributions to the team have certainly exceeded the boundaries of the stat sheet, as the young QB has become integral to the Bears' culture on and off the field. As Ian Rapoport of nfl.com shares:

“With any franchise quarterback, you want him to be able to be comfortable enough to play like himself and be himself. Which is why, when the coaches look over during practice and see a loose, calm Fields having fun and dancing around between plays, they love it. Just like they love when sometimes after a team meeting, Fields will call the receivers together, grab the clicker and run an impromptu film session.”

This is just what the Bears need, and one can only hope that Fields' infectious energy carries the Bears throughout the season, struggles and all. As Fields' charisma and natural ability to boost team chemistry develop, so too will the technical aspects of his game, after all, he is still just a rookie who's eager to learn. Moving forward, Justin Fields' time at the Bears' starting QB spot can only be beneficial to him—should he take the opportunity to grow with his team.
