David Montgomery was doing it all for the Bears

Roquan Smith played lights out for Chicago
In Week 16, Roquan Smith set the tone for Chicago on defense and made a killing for them as they pulled off a surprise comeback and completely took Seattle out of this year's NFC playoff race. With another week of changes likely in store for the Bears, one constant for them on defense will be Smith's stellar play that led the charge for them defensively and was the driving force behind their victory on Sunday.
For the remainder of the season Smith will be out to make things difficult for their opponents and won't let up for a second, and their big win over Seattle in Week 16 was just the start of what's set to be an epic finish to his season. Hoping to make some changes to their defensive unit during the 2022 NFL offseason, one thing that will remain the same for them is Smith's much-needed defensive tenacity.
With a ton of changes in the fold for the Bears this summer, there's no denying that they've also found some bright spots in what's been an abysmal season for them. Granted their surprise victory over the Seahawks in Week 16 was definitely a plus for them, but seeing as they're no longer in the NFC playoff mix, things will likely get worse before they get better in Chicago. On the upside, Justin Fields has had some solid games for them and looks like he'll be their starting quarterback of the future.
Between his pin-point passing and rushing attack, Fields is primed for a Pro Bowl caliber year during the 2022 NFL season with the potential to eventually lead the Bears to an NFC North title. Come next season, it can definitely be expected that the Bears will be a new-and-improved team that continues to make strides climb the competitive ladder in the NFL.
